Thud, thud, I sit, I feel the blood rush

and through my veins I feel it thrust;

The pounding wants to run,

but run to what or from?

Is my beat of fun or fear?

Is that a drum or my beat I hear?

Such potential and cause for motivation!

Suddenly alive and full of excitation!

Adrenaline flows, to feel so young;

stand up, run, be anything but still!

Bask your face in that day's sun!
