Desert Rose
Upward you spring in sunshine's grasp,
reaching for stars amassed.
Drinking waters of the river's flow,
beauty bountiful and so grows.
Open your petals for the love you sewed,
a many hearts to go are told.
Carry the beauty of a desert rose,
don’t be bound by the roots you know.
For those roots see the heights you reach
jealous they are and the more they preach.
The roots cry “What chance you have without us roots?”,
so now you, afraid to be afoot.
Afoot you must go, lose what's known,
know my sunned eyes always see my desert rose.
Beautiful!!!
